
Class Descriptions
Mini Kicks - 18-24 months. Toddlers and parents explore
basic soccer and
movement skills together. Lead by one of our instructors, play organized games
to
develop listening skills, balance, ball skills and foot-eye coordination. While the main focus of this class is centered around developing gross and fine motor skills you and your child will participate in activities such as
parachute
play, obstacle courses, balloon soccer, lots of goal scoring and the famous soccer bowling!
Big Kicks / Little Kicks - 2-3 year olds. This popular program has toddlers and parents exploring
basic soccer and
movement skills together. Lead by one of our instructors, play organized games together
to
develop listening skills, balance, ball skills and foot-eye coordination. Classes include
parachute
play, obstacle courses with and without a soccer ball, lots of goal scoring and the famous soccer bowling!
3 year olds and beginners - This class includes fun filled activities
that help refine
gross motor skills by each child getting at least 200 touches each class, as well as
develop
social awareness and listening skills. Activities and games in this class will continue to develop
dribbling with their heads up, changing directions, while touching the ball between 200 and
300 times each
class. Most classes will end with a small sided, non competitive (3 v 3 or 4 v 4) game. Reinforcing social and listening skills are also stressed each and every
class.
4 year olds and beginners
This class will work on more advanced ball control with
BOTH feet while
continuing to stress the importance of basic skills and teamwork.
Children will participate
in more challenging activities and skill development. classes will end with a small sided, non competitive (3 v 3 or 4 v 4) game. Reinforcing social and listening skills are also stressed each and every
class.
5 and 6 year olds / beginners and advanced - Advanced related skills geared towards preparing
players for
actual soccer games will be introduced, while continuing to stress the importance of teamwork
and refining body awareness and movement. classes will end with a small sided, non competitive (3 v 3 or 4 v 4) game and transitioning to team play. Reinforcing social and listening skills are also stressed each and every
class.
